David Cozart

Pastor

David is a graduate of both Howard Payne University and George W. Truett Theological Seminary. He joined the Meadowbrook staff in November 2007 after having served in the corporate world and in local church ministry.  While attending Truett Seminary, David worked for a financial services company in sales and customer service.  He pastored Lohn Baptist Church in Lohn, Texas while in college and served as founding pastor of a new church start in north Dallas.  In addition, David was a chaplain with Marketplace Chaplains USA and continues to serve as an on-call chaplain for the Waco area as well as Railroad Chaplains of America.  David and his college sweetheart Lori were married in 1995 and have two sons.

David enjoys spending time with friends and family, drinking coffee or Dr Pepper, cooking on the grill, watching movies, and would like to spend more time fishing – if he could actually catch any keepers.  His goal is to help others on their walk with Christ to know Him more.

Rev. J. Roger Huff

Pastor

At the age of 16 I was called into ministry and began leading the music in my father’s church. At 19, I began leading the Youth Ministry. I attended Spring Arbor University completing my education there in 1974. During that time, I married my high school sweetheart and together we moved to a Southern California, inner-city beach community which became my first full-time ministry focusing on youth and music.  In 1996 we changed our direction moving to West Texas to become Lead Pastor serving Big Spring, Tx Church of the Nazarene until 2004 when we moved to Waco, TX Church of the Nazarene where we finished out our ministry serving there for 14 years. My ministry included many opportunities to serve not only the local church, but in numerous elected and volunteer District level responsibilities, leading youth ministry seminars, leading music at District Assemblies, Work and Witness projects and many other ministry opportunities. I retired in 2017 and have remained active as a Hospital Chaplain and interim Pastor in churches in the South Texas District Church of the Nazarene. I stay very active in outside activities as well – basketball refereeing for 35 years, remodeling projects, and many other things to keep my mind, heart, and hands busy.
